As I reflected on my 2019 work year, I was amazed with all of the different opportunities that have come my way. I was encouraged to keep pushing and continuing to grow my business. I had to find a balance of family life and work life. That is HARD. I realized I was super lacking in allowing you to fully be a part of the shoots I have. That's where this little blog comes in. Every session is different and that is why I love my job so much!
A lot goes into what I do besides just knowing what to do with a camera in manual mode. I hand touch EVERY SINGLE IMAGE that ends up in a final gallery. I talk with each client about wardrobe, location selection, shooting times and days, edit each gallery, upload each gallery, place and deliver print and digital file orders, and not to mention the business side of things. (taxes are boring so I won't go into that.) Because I own my business, I do everything and that's the way I like it. Those that know me well, know that I am a "I can do it on my own" kind of person. Sometimes to a fault.
I LOVE what I do and I am reminded of that every time I receive an email from a client full of thankfulness and praises in both my work and the way I treat them. I have the worlds best clients! My goal with this blog is to give you more of a backstory about what I do... Special stories of my clients, tips as you prepare for a photo session, things to avoid during a session, and so much more that will evolve as the blog grows.
Hang with me as I navigate this fun new part of my business. SO many amazing things happening this year and I can't wait to show them with you
All the Best,
Emily
