The Music Is In Me
Growing up, my daddy was full of one liners that he lived by. One of his most known quotes was "the music is in you." Daddy LOVED to dance, a trait we most definitely share. Anyone that spends any time with me quickly learns that I love music and to dance even if I am the only one in the room moving. I believe music can take you back to a specific memory, whether that is a happy or sad moment in time, that memory floods back as though it is happening all over again.

I tell you this because, I can't edit without music. I choose music that often makes me emotional but I pour those emotions into how I edit my images. Sounds bizarre, but it is true. When I am editing a birth story, each image is full of a flood of emotions: exhaustion, new love, and sometimes sadness. By putting my mind in that emotional state, I can do justice to what the images deserve. I thought it would be fun to put together a list of some of my favorites songs to edit to.

I am constantly adding to me "editing" playlist but have several that always seem to put me in the right space to edit my galleries. If you are a lover of music like myself, glance over this list and maybe you will find a new favorite to add to your rotation.
